Villa Curation
Luxury Villas in Greece: A Curated Guide to Mykonos, Santorini & Athens
The finest luxury villas in Greece are not listed publicly. They are placed, quietly, with the guests who fit them. This guide compares what sets the top properties apart across three destinations, and how PLX curates the right villa for each client.
What defines a truly luxury villa in Greece
A high nightly rate is not the qualifier. The properties we place for our clients share four traits: absolute privacy, professional live-in staff, unrestricted sea access or unobstructed caldera views, and seamless integration with private transfers, chefs, and security.
- Full-time housekeeping, butler, and chef on request
- Private pool, gym, spa treatment room, and cinema
- Helipad or 15-minute helicopter transfer from the nearest airport
- Dedicated concierge and 24-hour ground team
Mykonos — social, seafront, staff-run
Mykonos villas are chosen for scene and access. The top estates sit on the western coast between Agios Lazaros and Aleomandra, walking distance from Nammos and Scorpios yet fully gated. Expect 6–10 bedrooms, infinity pools cantilevered over the Aegean, and a permanent staff of four to eight. Tender access from the villa jetty is the detail most guests underestimate.
Santorini — caldera, calm, and craftsmanship
Santorini rewards restraint. The most desirable villas are in Oia and Imerovigli, carved into the cliff with private plunge pools facing the caldera. Bedroom counts are smaller — typically three to five — so we pair the villa with a second property or a chartered yacht for larger parties. A private chef is essential; restaurant tables during high season are quietly unavailable without one.
Athens — arrival, discretion, and the Riviera
Clients staying in Athens want the Riviera: Vouliagmeni, Kavouri, and Lagonissi. These villas work as a base for board meetings, medical stays, or the first and last nights of an island itinerary. Proximity to the airport, private beach clubs, and 24-hour security teams matters more than square footage.
The PLX curation process
We do not send catalogues. After a short call we shortlist two or three properties that match the party, the dates, and the tone of the trip. Every villa is inspected in person by our team before we present it. Transfers, staff, provisioning, security, and reservations are handled end to end, by the same person, for the duration of the stay.
